Our Mission

The Proton Collaborative Group (PCG) was founded in 2009 by a group of radiation oncologists whose primary mission was to improve the survival outcomes of cancer patients and the quality of life for affected individuals.  These oncologists strongly believed that collaborating to develop new research protocols and sharing those results across multiple treatment centers would best serve their mission.

Non-Profit Corporation

Originally launched to serve one private company’s treatment centers in 2009, PCG has evolved into an independent 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that currently provides proton therapy-specific clinical research oversight to nine independent treatment centers and institutional members across the US.

Research

To date, PCG research data has been used in close to 50 scientific manuscripts, posters and conference presentations. PCG has been represented at 20 industry conferences and appeared in seven distinct peer-reviewed journals over the past three years. Having partnered with nine treatment centers to collect data, there are more than 5,800 patients in the PCG registry.
