The project aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of proton beam radiation therapy in treating borderline resectable and locally advanced pancreatic cancer. We will focus on analyzing practice patterns, assessing rates of disease control, including the assessment of local and distant disease progression at our instituion, as well as focus on identifying subgroups of patients who may benefit most from this treatment, such as those who have shown a positive response to chemotherapy (serologic, radiographic, or histologic). The study will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of proton beam therapy and its potential role in improving outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.
